Lionel Chatelet, Senior expert in Transportation and Logistics, former VP CMA CGM Group
Aged 46, with 20+ years working in the transportation and logistics sector as a BU executive in various continents and organizations, Lionel Chatelet spent the past 2 years leading the IT and business process Transformation of CMA CGM before deciding to move to the strategic consulting area.
Lionel was formerly the CEO of CMA CGM do Brasil as well as CMA CGM Group´s regional representative for East Coast South America, from January 2016 to February 2019. Before that, Lionel held various positions abroad (CMA CGM Canada General Manager) and in CMA CGM headquarters in Marseille (Manager of Americas Commercial & Agency Network, Ops Manager Rail Link Europe (former subsidiary of CMA CGM)).
CMA CGM is the fourth largest container shipping operator worldwide, counting 110,000 employees for a 31 B USD yearly turnover in 2019 with the acquisition of CEVA Logistics.
Lionel completed Insead’s Advanced Management Program (July 2019), where he studied the possible disruption of the container shipping business.
He is post-graduated in Economics in the University of Montpellier and Saint-Etienne (France).
He is married and the father of two daughters, Loïs (18) and Marine (15).
